An excellent author of these recordings is Dr. Emmett Miller,
a physician who has worked for over 20 years with top athletes and
entertainers. He is considered to be at the forefront of the science
of mental rehearsal. His audio recordings are available for pur-
chase on his Web site (www.drmiller.com), and they are highly rec-
ommended.
Merely acting on impulse or putting one foot in front of the
other without a clear compass delineating where you’re headed
will simply leave you in lost dreams and frustrations. That’s why it’s
important to take the steps described in this chapter.
Goal setting is a serious business, but you may find yourself
having fun as you realize that you really do have the power to bring
your fantasies to fruition. I know you can set concrete goals and
make plans to meet them. In Chapter 8 we’re going to put those
goals into purposeful action.
