Loving Your New

Career

Congratulations! You’ve applied the fearless career change strate-
gies and you have started your new job or business. You’ve faced
your fears and overcome them, or you’ve found a powerful moti-
vation to move through them. You’ve set new goals, anticipated the
obstacles, and made plans to get past them. You have some super-
fast methods for bringing mere fantasies to full fruition.
Work is no longer a domain dominated by fear; it is a play-
ground on which to stretch your limbs, a blank slate on which to
sketch a brand-new blueprint. Now that you’re on your way, it’s
time to learn not just how to keep a job or get promotions but how
to really thrive in your new position or profession.

When you are truly expressing your special
talents and living your “authentic calling,” a job
is not just a job. It’s a mission, designated to
fulfill a “higher purpose.”

Indeed, answering your authentic calling becomes a mission, a
bold adventure and a testing ground for newfound courage. Your
task now is not just to perform job duties or to prevent yourself
from being fired or going bankrupt (although preventing either of
those eventualities is a good place to start).
