             1. Make a purposeful choice to play big.
             2. Elevate the context and engage others at the highest level.
             3. Learn together and step into greatness.
             4. Build networks of committed partnerships everywhere.
             5. Measure your success.


           MAKE A PURPOSEFUL CHOICE TO PLAY BIG
           You would not have invested your time and energy to learn about fear-
           less leadership if it did not resonate with something deep inside of you.
           I wrote this book for you. As I composed each chapter, I envisioned a
           world full of fearless leaders, each with an unyielding sense of purpose,
           a steadfast inner strength, and a bold commitment to triumph over any
           challenge.
             It is likely that you already possess the inner qualities and values needed
           to be a fearless leader. But do you have the courage to live by these high
           standards daily and unleash your greatness and the greatness of others? You
           have two choices in front of you: you can choose to play big and expand
           your purpose so you can be more, which is the key to achieving more, or
           you can choose to play small and sacrifice the ability to shape the future.
           It is as simple as that.
             When you act as an owner and take a bold stand and decisive action,
           the future alters. You behave differently, you make different choices, and
           your actions create a ripple effect in the organization. Your behavior alters
           everything.
             When you choose to play big, the behaviors with which you meet your
           challenges are

             1. Taking 100% accountability regardless of what others choose
             2. Working together as committed partners
             3. Taking a bold stand and acting decisively

             Being a fearless leader releases you from the bondage of false expecta-
           tions: what others should do, how the world should be different, and how
