3. What decisive actions do I need to take? Where do I need
to take a bold stand, commit to the success of others, clean
up a relationship, talk straight responsibly, authentically align,
or hold myself and others accountable?
4. What requests do I need to make of others? Where am
I complaining or conspiring with others instead of making a
clear and direct request to the appropriate person? Where am
I holding back and not being direct? What request do I need
to make now?
You must be willing to take pure, in the moment action to fearlessly
lead others. If you vacillate with the winds of change, it will keep every-
one off balance. When you provide people with a uniform set of behav-
iors and the tools to learn and practice new skills, they will raise
the standard of behavior for everyone and you will see leaders emerge at
all levels.
Fearless leadership is a transformational methodology for excelling
and achieving results. You can apply it to a team, business group, or the
entire organization. You can transform corporate values into endur-
ing and consistent behaviors of 100% accountability and committed
partnerships.
ELEVATE THE CONTEXT AND ENGAGE OTHERS
AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL
One of your most powerful tools for engaging people is a compelling con-
text that captures both hearts and minds. Every time you speak to a group
or an individual, you have an opportunity to provide them with a frame-
work that powerfully connects them to the larger purpose.
Let’s revisit how context determines how people perceive reality.
Context defines focus, meaning, purpose, and direction; and it defines
what people observe, act upon, and produce.
When you provide only an intellectual context, you will engage some
people but you lose the majority. However, when you provide an emo-
tional and intellectual context, people are inspired to act. The question is
“Do you want people to merely understand your message, or do you want
them to take action and help you achieve your goals?”
