The median particle diameter of reservoir protecting agentLCM-8 was 0.31 μm,
the average grain diameter of volume was 0.33 μm, and the average grain
diameter of area was 0.27 μm.
6.1.3.2 PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF LCM-08
6.1.3.2.1 Film-Formation
Scanning electron microscopy was used to analyze images before and after
film-formation on the surface of filter paper, sides of filter paper, and sand-
stone surface, as shown in Figs. 6.3 6.5. Good film-formation of amphiphilic
polymer reservoir protecting agent LCM-8 was observed on the filter paper
and sandstone surfaces.
6.1.3.2.2 Plug Forming Property
A medium-pressure filter tester using visual casting bed was adopted (see
