b. Infrared spectroscopic analysis
The experimental results are shown in Fig. 6.22. The functional
groups found in the infrared spectrogram are:

C 2 O; 2 OH; 2 SO ; 2 CH 2 ; 2 CH 3 ; 2 CH, and ether, alcohol,

and sulfates. They are matched with the infrared absorption peak of
functional groups of polypropylene-based propyl sulfate through
comparison, and illustrate that a large quantity of polypropylene-
based propyl sulfate (it is seen that aOH is caused by the exit of
crystal water) exists in the sample.
