principles are applied: change management, contract management, stakeholder man-
agement, and relationship management (Fig. 14.5).
Change Management. Change management principles are applied during the forma-
tion of contractual relationships and while controlling ongoing activities such as training
16
and testing. For organizational change management, there are few critical principles :
● Determining barriers to implementing change
● Change management planning and strategies
● Managing employee/customer resistance
● Building executive sponsorship
● Creating communication plans
● Creating training and educational programs
● Maintaining business continuity
Change begins with the multinational transition of operations in the form of contracts,
investment, acquire, or merge. In this section we will talk mainly about contractual rela-
tionships. Nevertheless, the basic elements can be practiced for “transformational out-
sourcing” types, where the company precedes with partnering or investment.
Contract Management. There are two parties in an outsourcing contract, the out-
17
sourcing company and the vendor. A contract consists of several documents :
● Contract agreement. Identifies the parties, defines the scope of work, and declares the
price and schedule.
