                         below 80 mg/dL. Thus the higher the percentage, the more agreement there is
                         between the CGM and reference blood draw measurements. The systems also
                         vary on whether they have been approved yet for treatment decisions such as dosing
                         insulin. The Dexcom and Libre systems are approved for making treatment deci-
                         sions without a confirmatory fingerstick blood glucose reading. The Eversense
                         and Guardian system need two calibration updates per day, and Dexcom and Libre
                         systems do not require calibration. As discussed in the transducer technology
                         section, the method used in the conversion of glucose can leave it susceptible to
                         interferents. Each of the interferents that they systems have been labeled against
                         is listed in the figure as well. The capabilities of each of the systems with respect
                         to active or automatic alerts, remote monitoring, and the capability for on-body
                         vibration are also shown in Fig. 6.8.
                            These products and sensor technology provide the current basis for CGM
                         systems for people with diabetes.
