            Recommended applications: additives for warm mixed asphalts. High workability of the asphalt
            mix, excellent antistripping effect, flexible to all techniques and asphalt mixes, effective at very

            Processing methods: can be produced and paved at temperatures 40°C cooler than standard hot

                Copolymers can be tailored to the chemical structure of adhering polymers, because
            they can have segments compatible with each surface which has to be adhered to each

            other.  This principle is commonly used in polymers blends in which block copolymers
            having proper chemical structure are compatible with component polymers of the blend. 13
                                                 Dendritic polymers form another important
                                                 group  utilized  in  a  coupling  technology. 13
                                                 They are hyperbranched polymers having a
                                                 high  density  of  functional  groups  able  to
                                                 interact or react with other components of
                                                          13
                                                 the system.
                                                     Polyolefins  have  low  free  surface
                                                 energy  that  prevents  good  wettability  of
                                                 adhesives  or  paint  emulsions  to  their  sur-

                                                 face.   Blended  with  thermoplastic  poly-
                                                 urethanes,  they  form  surface  more

                                                 demonstrates  the  development  of  fibrils
            during paint layer delamination, indicating the formation of continuous PU domains at the

            interface due to PU inter-diffusion.
                Polyallyamine was used as an adhesion promoter between silica and SU8 (photosen-
                                   15
            sitive lithographic polymer).  Polyallylamine spontaneously adsorbs onto silica surfaces,
            as a simple, easy-to-apply, and reactive adhesion promoter which has amino groups reac-

            tive with epoxy groups of SU8.
                Linear polyglycidol was used as an adhesion promoter in biomedical applications.16
            The phosphonic acid residues, present in the polymer, assure strong binding to stainless
            steel wires.
