128 Properties of Adhesion Promoters
General description: amino functional metal organic adhesion promoter synthesized with a stable
preneutralized metal complex, carrier ethylene glycol, water. Hybrid carboxy/hydroxy functional
metal organic adhesion promoter synthesized with a stable preneutralized metal complex, carrier
water. Diamino functional metal organic adhesion promoter synthesized with a stabilized MEA
neutralized metal complex, carrier propylene glycol. Methacrylato-functional organic adhesion
promoter synthesized using a stabilized bimetal precursor, carrier propylene glycol. Hydrocarbon
functional metal organic synthesized with stabilized bimetal precursor, carrier ethylene glycol and
2-butoxy ethanol. Amino functional alkoxysilane, triethoxypropylsilane

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
o
Boiling point, C: 65 to 408 Color, Gardner scale: 1-6 Color, Pt-Co scale: 25-400
Color: clear, colorless, pale yellow, yellow, greenish to redidish, brown, black
Solubility (diluents): alcohols, water, ethers, hydrocarbons, toluene, acetone, chlorinated sol-
vents, aliphatic solvents and low molecular weight cyclic polydimethylsiloxane; miscible with
organic solvents, such as ethers and hydrocarbons. Mixing with ketones results in imine formation,
while mixing with alcohols other than methanol leads to an autocatalytic exchange of alkoxy
groups until the system reaches thermodynamic equilibrium
