ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
EC50, Bluegill sunfish, 96h, mg/l: 1000
EC50, Fathead minnow, 96h, mg/l: >100
Biodegradation probability: 62.0%/28d/readily biodegradable
USE
Manufacturer: Chartwell International, Inc., Evonik
Outstanding properties: Improved corrosion resistance (salt fog), reduced creep at the scribe;
rubber: improved adhesion, abrasion resistance, tensile and tear strengths. Outstanding properties,
such as high hardness, excellent scratch and mar resistance, superior stability in boiling water (Gt0
upon 2h in water at 100oC), very good adhesion on various substrates, sound flexibility, very low
thickness of formed layers (recommendation dry layer of < 2 µm), excellent resistance against sol-
vents and other chemicals. Environmentally friendly alternative to hazardous traditional metal pre-
treatment. Increased weatherability of the coating.
Recommended for resins: acrylics, alkyd, epoxy, hybrid, EPDM, EPR, PA, polyester, PU, rubber,
SBR
Recommended for products: glass and other non-metals, coatings
Recommended applications: epoxy powder coating
Processing methods: coating, compounding, dip coating, extruder, spraying
Typical dose: 0.5-2 phr
