Materials, Wacker Chemie AG
Outstanding properties: enhances adhesion to metals, plastics, elastomers. Increases T-peel
strength. Improves resistance to moisture, heat and corrosive environments. Rapid dispersion and
solubilisation of the active component in polymer matrices. Improved adhesion to all metals with
accompanying improved salt fog resistance, reduction of creep at the scribe, and reduced blister-
ing; and improved adhesion to plastics ceramics, concrete and wood. In WB Exterior primers and
deck stains, will eliminate peeling on wood substrate. In foundry cores, will improve bonding
between sand and phenolic, urethane and similar binders. Low cost. Improved wet adhesion to
many difficult substrates, i.e. glass, plastics, ceramics, concrete, wood, etc. Improved salt fog resis-
tance and reduced coating surface defects due to poor metal preparation and washing. Used to treat
mineral fillers, i.e. calcium carbonate, mica, silica, clay, etc., will improved physical properties of
compounded polyolefin.
Recommended for resins: 2K epoxy, 2K PU, butyl rubber, nitrile rubber, ABS, EVA, EMA,
EPDM, PUD, PVAc, neoprene, alkyd, acrylics, latex emulsion, epoxy/urethane, urethane modified
