In the extraction cycle (Fig. 4), the steam for brine heating is removed
from the turbines at some midpoint during expansion. The exhaust steam
goes to a standard condenser. This cycle can have a high product ratio (PR),
that is, the ratio of the electric power to desalted water. If desired, large
amounts of water can be produced when needed.
