               Design  a  liquid-condensing  spiral-tube  heat  exchanger  for  the  following
               conditions:


























               Calculation Procedure:



               1. Determine the rate of heat transfer and molecular weight tubeside and
                  shellside for the heat exchanger
               The rate of heat transfer, Btu/h = (flow rate, lb/h) (heat of vaporization of the
               shellside fluid) = (3422) (945) = 3,233,790 Btu/h (3412 MJ/h).
