compounds, such as tri-, tetra-, and pentaethylene glycol monobutyl ethers. The
content of the detected tri-, tetra-, and pentaethylene glycol in the claimed brake fluid
sample is greater, while the content of boric acid is by about 7.5% lower. On the other
hand, the content of the corrosion inhibitor bis(2-hydroxyethyl)methylamine in
the claimed brake fluid is about three times greater as in the good functioning brake
fluid. The obtained analytical results were then used for troubleshooting with the
customer.
