                         Further  scaling  of  the  pulse  energy  is  possible  by  combining
                      regenerative amplifiers with geometrical multipass amplifiers. Such
                      a multipass concept was developed to realize a system which is able
                      to  deliver  pulses  “on  demand”  with  a  very  short  reaction  time.
                      Starting with a specially designed q-switch thin-disc laser, it uses a
