Functionally similar features can also be found in an intermediate range of bel-
lows seals as shown in Figures 2-1 l and 2-12. Rotating bellows seals tend to be self-
cleaning by virtue of centrifugal action. As mentioned earlier, they do not incorpo-
rate sliding (dynamic) elastomers. Instead, they use static secondary sealing means.
