                       The total length of the antenna used is 16.5 mm, which is equal to 0.33l (l  is
                                                                                       0  0
                    wavelength in air) at the resonant frequency. The dimensions and the photos of the
                    fabricated prototype are shown in Figures 5.8 and 5.9, respectively. The antenna is
                    excited with a 50-Ω microstrip line that is printed on the rigid part of the substrate,
                    supported by the core layer. The ground plane of the signal line covers the backside of
                    the core layer with a size of 18 mm × 9 mm.
                       The return loss measurements of the antenna for the folded and rolled cases are
                    shown in Figure 5.10. As seen in the figure, the measured return loss of the antenna
                    does not change much when the antenna is folded or rolled. The simulated far-field
                    patterns of the antenna are presented in Figure 5.11. The antenna has a nearly
