Typical performance characteristics for this battery type are shown in Fig. 14.36. The cells show
abuse resistance similar to the Li/BrCl in SOCl cells when subjected to abuse tests. Capacity loss

is also rated at 3%/yr at 25°C.

Another study has evaluated the effect of ambient temperature storage for up to 6 years. The
interrelation of voltage stability, capacity retention, self-discharge, and voltage delay has been delin-
