Face-Face-Distance Solution Using Plotting Board
Occasionally it is necessary to solve a face-face-distance problem for a
machine with a long coupling spacer, such as a cooling tower drive. Fig-
ure 5-39 illustrates the machine layout and initial indicator readings.
These readings are now utilized in the plotting board manipulations, Fig-
ure 5-40, and finally transferred to the permanent data sheet, Figure
