Model-code assignment is basically a matter of pointing up differences between
products belonging to a product family. As a result of optional features of each line of
product, in many cases there can be an almost endless variety of product buildup owing
to the large number of option combinations that are possible. For example, a farm tractor
in a given model category might have the following optional features:
