12.5.2 Design of Adsorber for Gas Dehydration
Usually, the given process conditions are gas flow rate V (MMSCF/d),
temperature T ( R), gas water content Y 1 (lbs H 2 O/MMSCF), desiccant

particle size D P (ft), gas density g (lbs/ft ), and operating pressure P (psia).
The maximum useful desiccant capacity X C (lbs H 2 O/100 lbs
desiccant) is given by the vendor it will change if the storage conditions
are not good. It should be assumed and then verified in the calculations.
The bed operation cycle time is usually assumed as 8 h; thus, one day has
three cycles.
