Polymer-based nanocomposites for energy and environmental applications 195
development in fabrication, characterization, and application of these materials has
provided excessive prospects for the engineering behaviors of PNC systems. More-
over, it is evidenced that the improved performance of PNCs is mainly attributed
to the synergetic applications of the material components for energy storage applica-
tions. The environmental applications of PNCs are fascinating and endless. The exten-
sive use of PNCs in catalytic removal of organic contaminants, adsorption of
pollutants, and pollutant sensing and detection result in little pollution and benign
products. Finally, the commercialization, processing, and detailed investigation
behind the improved properties of PNCs are the few tasks remained unaddressed.
In particular, still, more intensive research works are required on new combination
of PNCs from cheaper, clean, viable, and environmentally friendly sources. Currently,
several eco-friendly PNCs are accessible for several applications, and presently,
fabrication of new kinds of eco-friendly cheaper PNCs for energy storage applications
is still a hot topic.
