2. Air core smoothing reactors, used in series with each pole to decrease
harmonics in DC line currents and voltages.
3. Harmonic filter, used to reduce harmonics generated by converters in cur-
rent and voltage. These harmonics causes heating of system components
and interfere with telecommunication equipment.
4. Control system to the DC link, which provides power control and fre-
quency control and DC protection.
