7.5.3.2. Space Velocity for a Fixed Conversion

Figure 7.37 demonstrates the principle in which conversion is
maintained constant and space velocities compared. Catalyst A is better
than B because lower space times yield the same conversion. This is the
best practical method but not the easiest to perform. If the reaction rate
