Manager’s Checklist for Chapter 4
❏ Most jobs in the workplace are currently held by Baby
Boomers or members of Generation X.
❏ Most top employees are currently Boomers, but the next
wave will be from Generation X.
❏ People are people, whatever their generation, and each
individual must be treated with consideration and respect.

among the generations.
❏ Boomers and Gen-Xers have different perceptions and
expectations of the workplace.
❏ Some organizations are already preparing for the next gen-
eration of top employees—Generation Y.
