                  People need to be part of the change process, actively involved in decisior
                and able to influence the outcome. If treated with respect, they gain recognitic
                and self-esteem and a two-way communication will result. They may WE
                need to get the acid or bile which has accumulated over the years out of the
                system, but essentially employees want to improve their lot. A typical reactic
                came from a team leader who, after three months’ involvement in the TPI
                process, commented that TPM is built on teamwork and that ’Today Peop
                Matter  ’.
