Chapter 6 The Palm Robot Programmer (PRP) 121

As we’ve hinted at several times in the book, we are going to make it a little
easier for you to write programs if you’re not a programmer. We’ve developed
a software application that we’ve named the Palm Robot Programmer, or PRP
for short, which does two important things for you: it makes programming
your robot easy and flexible.
Using the PRP is easy because all you need to do is click icons to create a
program visually (Figure 6-1). It’s also flexible because you can use the PRP
to create programs in several different languages. This chapter will show
you how to use the Palm Robot Programmer to create your own Palm Robot
programs.

If you already know how to program, this chapter is for you, too. We pro-
vide the PRP tool to make it easier for nonprogrammers to program their
robots, but nothing stops you experts from using this tool as well. And if
