        SUMMARY



                            • The proper layout of the building including footings, building alignment, and floor
                               elevations is a key component of the project. Thus, without a surveyor establishing
                               the critical benchmarks and elevations, a project cannot proceed.
                            • The surveyor must take into account external elements that may impact the accuracy
                               of the building’s alignment and floor elevations. This includes:
