3.3.2.4 Retrofit solutions
Based on the results in previous parts, the main approach in the design of the
retrofit method is towards:
– proper connection of the two northern and southern parts of the building;
– reduction of the stiffness of the northern RC shear walls in both of the build-
ing parts; and
