                          3  A multiple friction clutch transmits a power of 1.7 kW at a speed of n = 500 r min .
                             The friction discs are made of tempered steel with coefficient of friction f = 0.05, and
                             the allowable pressure is [p] = 0.6∼0.8 MPa. The friction surface has inner diame-
                             ter D = 80 mm, and outer diameter D = 120 mm. The axial force on the friction

                             required.
