Another way to activate this option is by a right-mouse-click and turning "Sketch

Numeric Input" ON. This option will allow you to type the entity size as you sketch.

To automatically add the corresponding dimension, select a sketch tool (line, arc,

circle, etc.), right-mouse-click and turn on the option "Add Dimension."

lower and left edges of the base as shown.
