20 COACH YOURSELF TO A NEW CAREER
6–10 pts. Good! You maintain strong boundaries and have sur-
rounded yourself with people who love and care about
you. You do not associate with negative people and have
forgiven those who have hurt you.
MONEY AND FINANCES
0–5 pts. You are struggling financially, and this is no way to live. It
is impossible to be your best if you are living with finan-
cial stress. This condition is fixable. Downsize; cut your
expenses by 50 percent until you are earning more than
enough to pay the bills. Financial stress can damage your
health and your relationships—it isn’t worth it. Do what
you need to do to get yourself on solid footing. If you are
burdened by debt, consult a nonprofit credit-counseling
service for assistance. Start saving 10 percent of your
income even if you have debts. Track your expenses down
to the penny in a daily written log. Cut out all extraneous
and unnecessary expenses immediately. You can get out of
debt and turn your financial life around. See the Resources
section or go to Lifecoach.com for more information.
6–10 pts. You are on the right path. Now you may want to get on the
path to financial independence so that you have enough
money or income streams that you don’t have to work for
a living. Find more tips in my first book, Coach Yourself to
Success.
HOME AND COMFORT
0–5 pts. Instead of nurturing you, your home is another source of
stress. Do what it takes to have a clean and tidy residence,
even if that means hiring a house cleaner to come and
help. If you are a single parent, you need more help in the
house than you realize. Even if you hire a cleaner to come
only once a month to help with the big clean, that is a step
in the right direction. Take the time to make your home a
haven where you can relax upon entering.
