             Activity: Develop the Change Management Plan

             Earlier in the chapter, we discussed the development of the requirements, the “what will it take,”
             for data governance to be sustainable. Once those requirements have been identified, then the
             detailed planning for managing the DG program changes can begin. A comprehensive plan and
             effective execution of the tasks (discussed in Chapter 13) outlined in the plan are the means by
             which you will build awareness, understanding, and acceptance of data governance for the
             organization.

                             Purpose      Ensure there is a structured process, measures, and
                                          monitoring for integrating data governance into the
                                          culture of the organization.

                                          2.  Define and design capture of sustaining metrics.

                                          4.  Identify specific types of resistance (overt, passive,
                                             etc.).

                                             c. Review and approve resistance-management plan.
                                          5. Define and align staff performance goals and reward
                                            structures to new accountabilities.
                                          6. Develop the sustainability checklist for data
                                            governance.

                                          9. Define feedback and monitoring approach.
                                          10. Develop staff transition approach (use HR as needed).
