           with 64 executives from small entrepreneurial companies.





           HOW IMPORTANT ARE THE DEEP STRENGTHS?


           One of the key questions we posed in our research was,
           “How much influence do you believe these 10 deep strengths

           have on the operating effectiveness of organizations?”


           CEOs carry ultimate responsibility for operating results
           and their organizations’ overall financial well-being.

           We wanted their hard-nosed, no-nonsense perspective
           on how deep strengths affect core performance. So
           the question was pointed at how their organizations
           operate. Our intent was to explore whether deep

           strengths do more than contribute merely as some
           kind of feel-good factor, in other words, whether they
           go beyond being something that’s “nice to have but
