58 CHAPTER 2 WORKING WITH COLOR

                       7. Some file formats let you tag (also called associate or embed) a color profile onto the data.
Choose File Save As to open the Save As dialog box. Make sure ICC Profile (Windows)
or Embed Color Profile (Mac OS) is checked as shown in Figure 2.6. Type the filename
                          StreetEmbed.psd and click Save.

Check here to tag the file with the associated profile

The image data records only relative colors, but the way you actually see the image (in absolute
colors) depends on the profile you choose.

WARNING You can embed color profiles only in PSD, PDF, JPEG, TIFF, EPS, DCS, and PICT formats.
                       8. You will select color management policies for consistent handling of color issues in Photoshop.
Press Shift+Ctrl+K to reopen the Color Settings dialog box. In the Color Management Policies
section, click the RGB pop-up and select Convert To Working RGB from the list.

Images that you open will now be converted to the Adobe RGB (1998) profile automatically.
