Role/Title System Test Team Members
• Obtain sign-off of testing activities from the project manager(s).
• Make sure that final testing components (i.e., conditions, cycles, subcycles, scripts,
test data, expected results) are accurate, complete, and documented in such a way
to make them repeatable and reusable.
• Identify and plan activities needed to complete task assignments.
• Work with functional analysts to understand business needs related to testing
activities.
• Identify and escalate technical issues to the technical infrastructure team.
• Provide status updates to the system test lead.
Skills • Thorough knowledge of systems functionality and navigation.
• Solid understanding of technical processes and relevant business processes.
• Team leadership skills. Ability to work effectively across business organizations.
• Issue resolution skills. Ability to obtain resolution by team consensus when
differences in business processes are discussed.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in creating test scripts preferred.
• Solid understanding of the business organization and infrastructure.
• ERP implementation experience preferred.

Project
Role/Title Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
Role Definition Subject matter experts are responsible for ensuring business specific requirements
are addressed in the design, build, and test of the system. SMEs provide
coordination and facilitation of communications between the project team and the
campus. SMEs coordinate and prioritize campus functional requirements. SMEs
provide leadership and functional expertise in support of the implementation with
specific knowledge in one or more business processes.
Responsibilities • Provide expertise on functional business processes. Identify opportunities to
streamline business processes to best leverage the ERP system.
• Work with organization to translate business needs into software solutions.
• Assist business in controlling project scope and minimizing customizations to the
software. Help to determine workarounds and to use the software as delivered.
• Participate in the conference room pilot (CRP) process and provide content and
business process expertise.
• Work on general and detailed design tasks as required.
• Participate in the development of reporting requirements.
• Participate in the development of conversion and interface requirements. Ensure
results meet expectations.
