Responsibilities • Understand ERP data structures.
• Inventory current data sources.
• Design and develop programs to extract data from legacy systems.
• Design and develop load programs for loading data into ERP.
• Receive sign-off and approval on designs.
• Develop and perform unit tests (i.e., test data, test scenarios, expected results).
• Utilize existing version control procedures and tools.
• Document all customizations and modifications completely, per established standards.
• Identify and escalate technical issues to the technical infrastructure team.
• Support the data cleansing process.
• Develop tools to automate the testing process.
• Identify and plan activities needed to complete task assignments.
• Provide status updates to conversion lead.
Skills • Solid understanding of technical processes and relevant business processes.
• Team leadership skills. Ability to work effectively across business organization.
• Issue resolution skills. Ability to obtain resolution by team consensus when
differences in business processes are discussed.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in all phases of the project life cycle: design, prototype, construction,
and deployment.
• Solid understanding of the business organization and infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of business legacy systems.
• Solid understanding of data management, data conversion, and mapping.
• Software design and development experience.
• Experience with data conversion efforts.
• ERP implementation experience preferred.
