Responsibilities • Employ a deep understanding of functional business policies, processes, and
procedures.
• Review, test, and understand delivered ERP capabilities.
• Create business procedures and process flows and descriptions, based upon ERP
system.
• Work with functional areas to translate business needs into software solutions.
Provide alternative solutions and recommendations to complex problems and
issues allowing the teams to decide on the best approach. Provide estimates
(effort and time) to implement enhancements.
• Identify, document, and prioritize potential modifications.
• Create, review, and revise functional software designs.
• Define and document configuration tables.
• Lead effort to manage module interface program specifications: interfaces to and
from other application modules and interfaces to and from legacy systems.
• Lead effort to manage report inventory. Determine module-level reporting
specifications. Determine best approach for reporting (i.e., delivered, custom,
query).
• Provide functional data conversion information to conversion team.
• Lead effort to develop testing plans and scenarios ensuring that all aspects of the
module are fully tested: application and unit test, integrated test, and
performance and stress test. Execute test plans.
• Define, establish, and test security profiles.
• Identify and plan activities needed to complete task assignments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues.
• Provide status updates to the module lead.
• Provide ERP functional knowledge and expertise to team.
Skills • Thorough knowledge of systems functionality and navigation.
• Solid understanding of technical processes and relevant business processes.
• Team leadership skills. Ability to work effectively across university campuses.
• Issue resolution skills. Ability to obtain resolution by team consensus when
differences in business processes are discussed.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in all phases of the project life cycle: design, prototype, construction,
and deployment.
• Solid understanding of the business organization and infrastructure.
• ERP implementation experience preferred.
Reports To Module lead
