the shaft was rotating, and consequently it was essentially machined. All these characteristics can
be seen with more detail in Fig. 3, taken after separation from the shaft.
Figure 4 shows the fracture surface of the shaft. The appearance and topography is different in
the outer part and in the inner part. In the outer part, the fracture is rough and bright, and it
becomes smoother and more matte towards the center of the shaft. It is possible to differentiate
