Good! Now that you have at least two stories for each of your trans-
ferable talents, you can anticipate some of the most common ques-
tions, and you know how to answer the question “Why are you
switching occupations?” then you’re ready to shine during the
interview. You can now go into the interview and be fearless.
Follow-Up Letters
A letter following an interview should always be sent within 24
hours—mail or e-mail is fine. I call a thank-you note a focus letter
because in a thank-you note you can further influence the employer
