expected to behave is your ticket to success.
I am making a clear and direct request of you to express your fearless
leadership each day in how you engage with others. We need fearless lead-
ers everywhere. Your courage and passion are needed to build a future
that liberates people from the shackles of blind spots, so they can con-
tribute to their fullest potential. You have the power to shape the future
by putting a space between stimulus and response, as Viktor Frankl
described it, and make a purposeful choice to engage with others in an
extraordinary way.
I am asking you to be fearless and lead the way for others. Guide them
through challenges by working together as committed partners to achieve
the common good. Your actions will transform not only you; they will
transform what is possible for everyone.

The Path of Fearless Leaders
When you feel alone, reach out for your committed partners.
When you stumble and fall, recover quickly.
When you succeed beyond your expectations, acknowledge every-
one’s contribution and climb higher.

Thank you for the privilege of allowing me to be your partner in this
important exploration. Intellectually understanding the concepts we have
discussed is one thing, but applying them is fearless leadership in action.
In writing this book, I have encountered my own blind spots and chal-
lenges. Each time I hit a barrier, I remembered my larger mission: to drive
your leadership effectiveness to new heights where the impossible becomes
possible. Without knowing it, you have inspired me. I acknowledge you
for your commitment to play big and be big. And I thank you for the sig-
nificant difference you will make in the lives of many, many others. The
footstep of one person creates a path for everyone.
