                                       Computational formula of oil content is (H o , %):

                            H 0 5 1 2 H W 2 H S
                            where in:
                                    H W —Water content of oily cuttings, %;
                                    H S —Solid content of oily cuttings, %;
                                    H 0 —Oil content of oily cuttings, %;
                                    V—Volume of water measured with moisture tester, mL;
                                    ρ—Density of water, g/mL;
                                    M—Mass of oily cutting samples, g;
                                    M 1 —Constant mass of filter papers, g;
                                    M 2 —Mass of final residue, g.
                                    The experimental device of the moisture tester is shown in Fig. 6.32.
                               2. Measurement of oil content in the degreased oily cuttings
                                    The oil content in oily cuttings is low if the oil content of treated oily
                                 cuttings is measured using the method used to measure untreated oily
                                 cuttings’ oil content, which will lead to a large error. Therefore, the mea-
                                 surement of greased oil content in oily cuttings is different from that of
                                 oil content in untreated oily cuttings.
                                    Again, it is processed according to HJ 637-2012 Water Quality
