CONSTRUCTION IAQ MANAGEMENT
Let’s look at a less obvious situation, maintaining indoor air quality (IAQ) during con-
struction. The choices are between basic and advanced IAQ management plans
(Table 8.8). In this case, the advanced IAQ plan has a much stronger payoff during the
10-year life cycle, by reducing maintenance and insurance costs (Fig. 8.7). This case
illustrates that it’s worthwhile to search for both primary and secondary benefits,
