The term “deep” is used to refer the number of hidden layers in
the neural network. The architecture of deep neural network is
shown in Fig. 9.3.The first layer of the neural network processes
a raw data input. Then a series of hidden layers are presented to
extract features accordingly. And then finally, the output layer
provides the expected outcome [2].
