The class-II towns are mostly located in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra,
Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat. The total sewage generated
in class-II towns is 2696.70 MLD. The total sewage treatment capacity in
class-II towns is 233.7, which represents 8% of the total sewage generated.
Figure 10.4 indicates the sewage generation and treatment capacity of class-
II towns in India.
