39.3.3 Scuffs and Scratches Troubleshooting Machine Issues
If handling damage is being caused by a machine-related problem the most likely
concern will be machine performance (see Chapter 8).
39.3.4 Scuffs and Scratches Troubleshooting Material Issues
The main thing to keep in mind with materials and handling issues is that some
materials will scratch and mar easier than others. Softer surfaces can be more sus-
ceptible to handling damage. With soft materials, even separating the gate from
the part may lead to distortion and damage of the part.
