The service life of a battery at a given current load can be estimated by dividing the current
(in amperes) by the weight or volume of the battery. This value is located on the ordinate, and the
service life, at a specific current and temperature, is read on the abscissa.
The weight or volume of a battery needed to deliver a required number of hours of service at a
specified current load can be estimated by locating a point on the curve corresponding to the required
