the directed graph, which is one of the converted forms of the structural
description [19]. Importantly, various configurations can be produced
from the directed graph representing the data possible to combine among
the already known structural modules, i.e., a group of predetermined
modules, through the necessary decision making. In addition, the pro-
posed methodology is based on the modular principle of hierarchical
type consisting of (1) whole structure (structural pattern), (2) sub-
structural patterns corresponding to main and sub-FOFs, (3) structural
module complex, and (4) structural module.
In short, the procedure for generating structural pattern is as follows.
1. Determination of a group of primitives (structural modules) as shown
in Fig. 4- 25.
2. Generation of single modular complex and its representation with the
vertices and directed edge in graph theory. Within a group of structural
