The Industry Response
Significant effort has been spent to both predict (by analyses) the responses of these systems
and to monitor what is actually happening - which are to be used as a baseline for these
predictions (Silva et al. 1999). Implementation of these findings will increase the level of
confidence in the analysis results. However, the industry recognizes there is little experience
for fatigue of SCRs, consequently the approach is conservative - or is it?
